French MP recounts trauma in trial of ex-senator accused of drugging her with MDMA

A French lawmaker has said that she wants "the truth" to emerge from the trial of a former senator accused of drugging her with the intention of sexually assaulting her., describing a terrifying experience marked by fear she could be raped.

Sandrine Josso says she was served a glass of champagne spiked with MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, by Joël Guerriau at his apartment in November 2023.
