Fred thinks Christian Eriksen's experience and quality on the ball will see him 'contribute a lot' to Manchester United.
After a slow start to the summer transfer window, Erik ten Hag's United squad is finally starting to take shape in July with the addition of three new players. Left-back Tyrell Malacia was the first in through the door after being signed from Feyenoord and he will soon be joined by fellow Eredivisie defender Lisandro Martinez, who has followed in the manager's footsteps in swapping Ajax for Old Trafford.
Between those deals came the capture of Eriksen, who has joined United on a free transfer after leaving Brentford and has put pen to paper on a three-year deal. The Danish playmaker made a stunning return to the game for the London club last season just six months on from suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch while representing his country at Euro 2020.

Eriksen's displays helped Brentford stay in the Premier League and he also proved he still has the quality to play at the top level, which convinced United to make a move. Fred couldn't be happier with his new midfield teammate.
“Great player. We all know of his quality,” the Brazilian told club media. "He was at Tottenham, last season at Brentford, he's someone we know.
“He's got the ability, a great player, attacking, strikes the ball well, knows where the goal is. He'll add to the team and he'll be made very welcome in our team, at Manchester United. Together we can achieve our goals.
“He's a very experienced player, I'm sure he'll contribute a lot. He seems like a great person and will add to our group. I'm fully behind him and hope that it all works out in our team. As I said we want to achieve our goals together and he can add a lot to our team.”
Eriksen's arrival has seen the Scandinavian contingent at United grow to three alongside Swedish duo Victor Lindelof and Anthony Elanga, which delights the young forward. "Another Scandinavian in the team is special,” said Elanga. “That makes three of us now in the team and it’ll be nice to meet him and play with him.
“He’s a special player, a really good player and I’ve played against him. I had the honour to play against him last season and you could see his qualities from there,” said Elanga. "I feel like he’ll be a great contributor to the team. I’m really looking forward to playing with him and hopefully he’ll put some balls in behind for me to run on to. That will be nice!”
