Don Hutchison has claimed that Frank Lampard will use his Chelsea connections to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley if he’s confirmed as Everton’s new boss.
The Toffees are reportedly set to appoint Lampard as Rafa Benitez’s successor according to Sky Sports .
The 43-year-old is set to take over a side that has secured just one win from their last 14 Premier League games, and has slumped to 16th in the table, just four points clear of the relegation zone.
Despite the fact that Lampard has yet to be unveiled at Goodison Park, it’s believed that he will already be in discussions with the club’s hierarchy; regarding acquiring new players before Monday’s transfer deadline.

“[Abdoulaye] Doucoure, I think picked up a thigh injury in the last game, so they are light in that department.
“Use his contacts, as I said before, if it’s Frank Lampard, then he can go to Chelsea and bring Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley. Another former Everton player.
“And just get away from that bottom zone.”
The Toffees could certainly do with reinforcements in midfield after it was confirmed that Doucoure and Fabian Delph are set to be out for around four weeks due to injury.
