France tests Tesla self-driving system two months after calling it too risky

A first soon to be seen on France's roads? Paris gave the green light on Wednesday 2 September for tests of Tesla's self-driving cars on its roads.

The Minister for Transport, Philippe Tabarot, also spoke on Wednesday with Tesla boss Elon Musk about the move. "With the provision of two vehicles, we are now entering a new phase: that of on-road trials", the minister said in a message posted on the social network X.
