Liverpool are busy preparing for their return to Premier League action as they face Brighton this weekend. The Reds have not played a league fixture since the goalless draw with Everton on September 3. Their last match was the 2-1 win over Ajax in the Champions League more than two weeks ago.
Jurgen Klopp and his staff have been pictured back at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby as they prepare the players for the clash against Brighton at Anfield. Many of the Reds squad were also pictured taking part in the session, as they prepare for their first match after the international break.
Here, we take a look at some of the things we spotted from Liverpool’s latest training session...

Three players return
It’s a welcome boost for Liverpool as three players return to training following an injury. Ibrahima Konate, Caoimhin Kelleher and Calvin Ramsay were all pictured taking part in the session.
Konate has been out with an injury since July 31 when he was substituted during the pre-season friendly against Strasbourg. Kelleher and Ramsay have yet to play any minutes since pre-season, having been struggling with their respective injuries since the summer.
Whether any of the trio will be fit enough to take part against Brighton remains to be seen. In the case of Kelleher and Ramsay, both have senior players who have been fit for longer ahead of them in the pecking order.
Still no sign of quartet
Despite three players returning, there were still some that were not involved in the session. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, Naby Keita and Andy Robertson were nowhere to be seen.
All four have injuries, with Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita not expected to be back until later in October. Jones’ fitness is not known, while Robertson is still recovering from a knee injury he suffered in the latter stages of the defeat to Napoli.
Trio not present
There were three more players who were not pictured in the session that may come as somewhat a surprise. Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota were nowhere to be seen in training on Thursday.
All three players featured for their countries on either Monday or Tuesday, and as a result would have come back later than others to Merseyside. We’ll have to wait until Klopp’s press conference on Friday before we find out if any of the trio will be fit enough to feature against Brighton.
Carvalho treatment
On a less serious note, one player who may have caught the eye from the photos from the training session is Fabio Carvalho. The teenager was pictured wearing some special headgear while practising penalty kicks.
The headgear appears to be similar to what Trent Alexander-Arnold has worn in the recent past. The Reds right-back wore the gear for neuro11 ahead of the Champions League final in Paris last season.
