The Ohio State football program is starting to get some momentum back in recruiting, and the latest comes from 4-star 2023 safety, Jayden Bonsu.
The 6-foot, 1-inch, 210-pounder out of Hillside, New Jersey, announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Sunday after he was a heavy Miami lean for a while. That sentiment seemed to change over the last few weeks, however, and in the end, Bonsu chose an OSU program that has churned out a ton of talent in the defensive backfield over the years.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsAccording to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Bonsu is ranked as the No. 22 safety and 259th overall prospect in the 2023 cycle. Here’s the moment that he chose Ohio State. He chose OSU over Miami, Alabama, Penn State, and Michigan State. In reality, though, it was really between OSU and Miami.

The commitment gives the Buckeyes 20 total for the 2023 class and keeps it firmly in the top five in the nation. There are still a few spots left to add to the haul, one that should once again finish as another very good one.
