Four people were spotted running across a busy M53 junction with "hundreds of vehicles" passing.
Cheshire Police were called at 4.50pm on Thursday, October 27, following reports of up to four people running on the southbound carriageway of the M53 between junctions nine and 10 in Ellesmere Port. Callers reported seeing two cars on the hard shoulder, with two men and a woman stood next to them.
They also reported seeing a third man, with curly brown hair, who ran across the motorway. Some of the callers also stated that they believed one of the men may have been armed.
