A man was taken to hospital following a horror collision on the M1 this morning.
The incident happened between J6 and J7 southbound near Balbriggan shortly before 7am. One man was taken to Beaumont Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Lane two of the motorway was sealed off as emergency services worked to make the scene safe. Commuters faced hour-long delays starting at the Drogheda toll.

The collision has since been cleared and the road was reopened. However, several delays remain from J8 and J9.
