Fortnite's annual summer event has returned, with this years event known as the Summer Escape, it features the introduction of this season's Secret Skin – Purradise Meowscles.
We're just over a month into Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, and the first big event is here – titled Fortnite Summer Escape. This new event offers up a brand new set of missions (offering extremely generous amounts of XP so you can speed through the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 Battle Pass). This event also introduces Purradise Meowscles as this season's secret skin in the same vein as Chapter 4 Season 2's Eren Jaeger Quests.
The event is only on for another week, so we've rounded up all of the important info from this event so you can speed your way through the battle pass and nab Optimus Prime before the summer ends and Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 begins.
Purradise Meowscles Skin and missions
The Summer Escape event has coincided with with the launch of this season's secret battle pass skin Purradise Meowscles. Here's a list of all the items included in the Purradise Meowscles pack:

You'll need to complete some missions to unlock these items (and by extension the skin) however. The missions and what they unlock are as follows:
Page one challenges
- Deal 500 damage to opponents with pistols or Heavy Sniper Rifles – Purradise Meowscles Loading Screen
- Gain 500 shields – Calico-conut Back Bling
- Fall five stories or more without taking damage – Calico Holiday Weapon Wrap
- Bounce on five bouncy objects – Purradise Vibes Music Track
- Collect three fish – Self Reflexing Emote
- Complete four page one challenges – Purradise Mewoscles Skin
Once you've complete page one you'll gain access to page two which brings another batch of quests and unlocks:
Page two challenges
- Deal 7,500 damage to opponents – Clawesome Meowscles Loading Screen
- Carry a full stack of ammo 10 meters – Coconut Banner Icon
- Get eliminated in 9 different matches – Beach Breezer Glider Style
- Flip a vehicle – Purradise Pattern Weapon Wrap
- Travel from Kenjutsu Crossing to Knotty Nets without touching water – Dune Scooper Pickaxe Style
- Complete all page two challenges – Clawesome Meowscles Skin variant
Once you've done those you're free to deck yourself as the most summery buff cat the world has ever seen.
Summer Escape Quests
The Summer Escape event has introduced a series of quests separate from the Meowscles quests. These are as follows:
- Deal 100 damage to opponents within 45 seconds after swimming
- Swin 75 meters at Sunswoon Lagoon
- Eat five ice cream cones
- Break 10 slap barrels or slurp barrels
- Eliminate an opponent while under the effects of a Frozen or Spicy ice cream cone
- Restore 200 health
- Search seven chests
- Deal 50 damage to wildlife
- Collect three fish from fishing spots in a single match
- Outlast 200 players
- Pet tamed wolves or boars in two different matches
- Reveal seven opponents with Flare Gun or Firework Flare Gun
- Eliminate seven opponents
There's also two batches of three tiered quests, you'll need to complete these in order of one to three in both batches:
- Stage 1 of 3 – Gain 200 shields
- Stage 2 of 3 – Collect an apple, banana, and coconut
- Stage 3 of 3 – Report back to Purradise Meowscles
- Stage 1 of 3 – Ride wildlife to Sunswoon Lagoon
- Stage 2 of 3 – Light a Campfire
- Stage 3 of 3 – Emote by a lit campfire
Each of these quests grants you a generous 30k XP so I would recommend getting on those asap.
Fortnite Summer Escape – end date
Epic Games has confirmed that the event will run for two weeks and end on Tuesday, July 18 which is when the next major update for Fortnite – Fortnite Update 25.20 – is likely to launch.
