Fortnite players who splashed out on cars are being refunded after Epic Games slashed the prices of the new motors.
The vehicles were introduced to coincide with the new Rocket Racing game mode earlier this month.
But, players quickly noted that they were among some of the costliest digital items you could buy.
Epic Games appears to have gotten the message: The developer recently announced that it was cutting car prices by up to 35 percent and refunding buyers the price difference in V-Bucks.
V-Bucks is the name of the in-game currency in Fortnite, which players purchase using real money and then exchange for items like outfits and emotes. Epic Games raised the price of the currency earlier this year, which can be purchased in lump sums for between £7-£70.

Diesel - 4,000 ➡️ 2,500 V-Bucks
Jager, Cyclone - 2,500 ➡️ 1,500 V-Bucks
New prices will show in the next hour. Players who purchased these bundles will be granted V-Bucks for the price difference within a week
The updated prices are as follows:
- The Diesel bundle has been reduced from 4,000 V-Bucks to 2,500 V-Bucks
- The Cyclone and Jäger 619 bundles have been cut from 2,500 to 1,500 each.
The change means you can grab the Diesel bundle for the equivalent of roughly £17.49, instead of forking out around £28.
Players were anticipating a discount after Epic Games said last week that it was fixing shop prices.
Hey everyone, we know that the Shop may not be correctly displaying the intended offerings, and we're working to fix it.

Although the company didn't clarify what items would be affected, many assumed that it would be the costly motors.
"I’m guessing they’re fixing the price on this car lol," said one user in a post on X that featured an image of the Diesel Bundle.
"I think the V-Buck cost is bugged. 4000?!" said another in reference to the same pack.

Epic Games updates the Fortnite Shop with different items every day, giving players serious FOMO if they don't catch a major drop.
At the time of writing, the store also contained a Lego Fortnite bundle priced 3,000 V-Bucks, down from 5,000 V-Bucks.
Late last year, Epic Games added a restricted account to Fortnite to stop younger players from making purchases without parental consent.
The video game studio said the new “cabined accounts” created a safer gaming experience for children.
