Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is just a few days away, and the new season of the battle royale hit game might be nothing short of revolutionary: Fortnite is confirmed to get a first-person mode. The upcoming season will also feature a cyberpunk aesthetic and other interesting mechanics to spice things up.
Epic Games has finally communicated when Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 will begin, so here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite server downtime in your timezone.
When does the Fortnite server downtime start for Chapter 4 Season 2?
The Fortnite server downtime will begin on Friday, March 10, 2023 to prepare for the Chapter 4 Season 2 update, and here’s the full list of times in each time zone:
- 11pm PT on March 9
- 2am ET
- 7am GMT
- 8am CET
- 12:30pm IST
- 4pm JST

Please note that Fortnite no longer will support Windows 7 or 8 after this update, which means that you’ll need to upgrade to Windows 10 if you want to continue playing on your PC or laptop.
When does Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 launch?
When will Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 be playable? That question is a little bit harder to answer, as the duration of server maintenance for such massive updates can vary quite a bit. It usually takes 5-7 hours for the Fortnite servers to come back online for a new season, which means you can expect to dive into the fresh content roughly at the following times in March 10:
- 6am PT
- 9am ET
- 2pm GMT
- 3pm CET
- 7:30pm IST
- 11pm JST
- 12am AEST on March 11
We’ll be keeping an eye on the patch as it happens and will update you here if any delays occur during maintenance – Epic Games is usually on point when it comes to this process, but things can always go wrong unexpectedly.
