A former Tennessee Titans scout, Blaise Taylor, accused of poisoning his pregnant girlfriend to death, has bonded out of jail after his bond was set at $2,500,000. The tragic incident involved the murder of his girlfriend, Jade Benning, and her unborn child.
U.S. Marshals arrested Taylor in Utah, where he had moved following the deaths, and served him an indictment from Nashville police. Taylor, who previously worked for the Tennessee Titans as a scout from 2019 to 2023, now faces two first-degree murder charges due to the deaths of Benning and her unborn child.
During his first court appearance via video conference on April 3, Taylor was informed that the district attorney's office is seeking life in prison without parole for him. This decision was made based on the circumstances that Taylor knew Benning was pregnant, committed the murder knowingly, and the victim was less than 12 years old.
The tragic events unfolded on February 25, 2023, when Benning was rushed to the hospital after Taylor called 911, claiming she had an allergic reaction. Unfortunately, Benning was unable to communicate with the police before her passing, as her condition deteriorated rapidly. Benning, who was five months pregnant at the time, passed away on March 6, which happened to be her 25th birthday. The unborn child tragically lost its life on February 27.
This alleged murder took place in Nashville, and the case has shocked many in the community. Taylor's bond release has raised concerns among the public, given the severity of the charges against him. The legal proceedings in this case are ongoing, and the authorities are working diligently to ensure justice is served for the victims.
