“After 9, arguably 10, years in the NFL — I am officially retiring,” Compton wrote on X. “I truly can’t put into words how grateful I am for this game and the people who have been on this journey with me. Thank you all so much. See you in Canton, OH.”

Compton, who last played a snap in the NFL with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021, spent two of his nine seasons with the Titans, appearing in 24 games (three starts).

Compton entered the league as an undrafted free agent with Washington in 2013, where he spent his first five seasons. He also had a cup of coffee with the New Orleans Saints.
