Former Nottingham Forest midfielder who left last summer suffers fresh Millwall injury blow

Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Luke Freeman has suffered a fresh injury blow and could miss the rest of the season.

Freeman joined Millwall on loan from Sheffield United on the final day of the transfer window in January after failing to nail down a first-team place at the Blades.

But he has only had 13 minutes of action since moving to the Lions which came against Fulham and now it has been claimed he may not kick a ball again this term.

LondonNewsOnline has reported Freeman has picked up a hamstring problem in training and he missed the game against Cardiff at the weekend and was not included in the squad to face QPR tonight.

It is another frustrating blow for Freeman who spent the season on loan at the City Ground last term making 25 appearances in all competitions, scoring just once.

Forest fans had hailed Freeman's arrival on loan from the Blades at the time after signing for previous boss Chris Hughton, but he could not help them ignite a promotion push as they finished in the lower half of the Championship table.
