Former federal Labor MP Craig Thomson has been arrested after allegedly breaching an apprehended violence order.
The 57-year-old was taken into custody around 2:30pm on Tuesday in Wamberal, on the Central Coast, in relation to an alleged breach of an AVO.
"He was taken to Gosford police station where he is currently assisting police with their inquiries," a police spokeswoman said in a statement.
Thomson on Tuesday morning faced court on separate charges.
