Former Liverpool star makes 'very provocative' Lionel Messi and Pep Guardiola claim

Former Liverpool star Jerzy Dudek has revealed that Lionel Messi would be “very provocative” during his meetings with the forward.

Dudek spent six years at Anfield, during which time he made 186 appearances. His most memorable outing was undoubtedly his heroics in the 2005 Champions League final against AC Milan in Istanbul.

After his time with the Reds, Dudek moved to Real Madrid in 2007 where he would spend the final four years of his playing career before retiring in 2011. During his stint in Spain, the Poland international went up against Messi and Barcelona during El Clasico.

Despite spending four years in the Spanish capital, Dudek made just 12 appearances for Real and none came against Barcelona. However, the former goalkeeper has opened up on his experiences of Messi on matchdays.

Dudek has claimed that Messi would be “very provocative” towards the Real Madrid players, and even made a claim about former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.

According to Italian outlet Il Posticipo, via Marca, Dudek said: “He (Messi) was very provocative, as were Barcelona and their manager Pep Guardiola.

“They were always ready to annoy you and many times they managed it perfectly.

“I've seen and listened to Messi saying very rude things to Pepe and Ramos that you can't even think about.

“Imagine what can come out of the mouth of a person who seems so calm and friendly."
