Former Leeds United winger Lee Sharpe has said that players at his old club should follow the 'standards set' by striker Patrick Bamford after the 29-year-old made his return from injury earlier this month.
Bamford has had a torrid time this season with injuries, and even had to undergo the knife multiple times to fully sort out his issues. But after a surgery on a groin strain in December, it appears as though he's back to full fitness.
While he hasn't started a match for the Whites since October, he has popped up with three goals in his two appearances since the winter break in cameos against Aston Villa and Cardiff City.

That's ultimately what manager Jesse Marsch and his teammates need from him the most if they want to stay in the Premier League this season, but it's not just his goalscoring that makes him so vital for the Whites.
Sharpe believes it's the pressure he puts on his opponents, his work rate, the intangibles that make him the complete player for Leeds as he told NewCasinoUK earlier this week.
"Bamford is certainly a key player for them. I know he takes a bit of stick for missing a few but the work rate that he puts in, chasing down and not letting defenders have any time, I think he sets the standard for the whole team to go and press and defend from a high line.
"It’s just goalscoring with Bamford that they need from him really."
