Former Leeds United midfielder Fabian Delph has called time on a 16-year senior career after announcing his retirement. The former Whites academy prospect burst onto the scene in the 2006/07 season, making an appearance against Derby County in the final game of the season after signing his first professional contract the year prior.
Delph would become an integral part of the Leeds United side that played their first season in League One in 2008-09. An impressive string of performances saw Aston Villa come calling and he'd leave Yorkshire for new pastures.
A six-year stint at Villa Park would follow, before joining Manchester City in 2015 - winning the Premier League twice with City. Injuries would plague Delph throughout his career and made the move to Everton in 2019 but would make just 35 appearances across three seasons before leaving the Toffees earlier this summer.

Marcus Rashford was among those to pay tribute to the former Leeds youngster, replying: "All the best bro."
