Former I'm A Celebrity star Nick Knowles sends message to every viewer over Mike Tindall

BBC DIY SOS star Nick Knowles, a former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here contestant, has sent a message to anybody watching the ITV show. The presenter has issued the statement via social media after seeing ex rugby player Mike Tindall embrace jungle life.

Nick, whose role on the DIY show sees him retell some heartbreaking stories before his team and volunteers turn around people's homes and lives, sent a plea to viewers at home. Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "I’d really appreciate everyone who kindly supported me on @imacelebrity to get behind⁦ @miketindall13.⁩

"He is a patron with me of a veterans charity & helps many others He’s a top bloke & a really down to earth type I can only say this as he’s away & can’t read it,".

The message struck a chord with social media users. One replied: "I'm backing @miketindall13 and I don't even watch the show. Being patron of a veterans charity is enough for me!". Another said: "He comes across as a really decent chap - go Mike!", to which a third replied: "I'm just waiting to see if he does the "I've my eyes on you" to anyone in the jungle like he did to Prince Louis."

Nottinghamshire Live sister publication, Birmingham Live, first spotted the post. It wrote that one I'm a Celeb viewer has reacted with: "He’s already my winner - in the final with Jill and Owen! rooting for him #vanillamikemikebaby". Others agreed: "He’s a legend, not sure about the button nose now though."

The comments continued: "Don't know Mike personally but from what I've seen/heard of him over the years has led me to believe he's a very genuine, down to earth, all round great guy. #MikeTindallToWin". And, "Well he’s a decent bloke but I will have to cheer for him after cheering for Jill Scott."

Love for Mike on the show was evident. One Twitter user replying to Nick said: "I think even without your valuable endorsement he’s got the win in the bag. The camp loves him, Twitter and Meta love him. I reckon he’s already King of the jungle!".

  • The new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here airs every night at 9pm on ITV1 and ITV Hub.
