Former Gateshead FC players have taken to social media to wish the Heed Army all the best ahead of their FA Trophy Final showdown with National League rivals FC Halifax Town.
The Shaymen come into the tie the slight favourites having finished in the top-half of the table this season and have taken four points from two games against Mike Williamson's men. Gateshead club captain Greg Olley says the Heed do not fear their opponents heading into the game, insisting it's a one-off game where anything can happen.
Gateshead will be backed by around 4,500 supporters who have travelled down from the North East. Halifax Town are likely to boast double their numbers in the stands, but the Heed will revel on their underdog tag as they have done all season.
