Former FBI Agent Criticizes Biden's Absence At NYPD Officer's Funeral

Joe Biden looks focused.

A retired Special Agent, Nicole Parker, expressed disappointment over President Biden's decision to attend a $25 million fundraiser in Manhattan while the NYPD mourned the loss of Officer Jonathan Diller, who was tragically killed in Far Rockaway. Parker, who left the bureau due to its increased politicization, highlighted the absence of support for law enforcement from Biden.

Officer Diller and his partner were fatally shot during a routine traffic stop by a career criminal. Parker emphasized the human toll of such incidents, noting the devastating impact on families left behind.

Parker drew parallels to her own experience of losing two colleagues in Broward County, Fla., in 2021, where Biden was also absent from the funeral. She criticized the lack of support for law enforcement and highlighted the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by officers.

Former President Trump, in contrast, chose to visit Long Island in a show of solidarity with law enforcement. Parker stressed the need for officials to demonstrate support for proactive policing policies and the challenges faced by officers in the line of duty.

Andrew McCarthy, a former New York federal prosecutor, echoed Parker's concerns about a perceived retreat in tough-on-crime policies in states like New York. The discussion around law enforcement support and the impact on policing practices continues to be a topic of debate.
