Former Chicago Tribune Photojournalist Creates One-Of-A-Kind Project For Overlooked Animals (11 Pics)

For shelter and rescue animals, being seen as an individual can mean the difference between finding a home and being overlooked when their time is running out. Former Chicago Tribune photojournalist and member of a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporting team Candice C. Cusic has launched a heartwarming initiative called The See Hear Love, the world’s only documentary storytelling project told from the animal’s perspective, to help change that story.

Each "See Hear Love" collaboration begins with a professionally filmed animal communication session. That communication becomes the foundation for a fine-art portrait and short documentary film, transforming how an animal is seen, from a fearful intake photo into an individual with a story worth knowing.
