Former Lone Wolf bikie Yusuf Nazlioglu has been shot several times in a car park in Sydney's inner west and remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Police are appealing for information on the shooting at Rhodes after emergency services were called to the scene at about 6.30pm on Monday.
In a statement police said the man aged in his late 30s was found with gunshot wounds and was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital.
Police believe it was a targeted attack and have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to contact Burwood Police or Crime Stoppers.
The shot man has been named by the ABC and News Corps outlets as Yusuf Nazlioglu.
His shooting may be linked to a recent spate of gangland shootings in Sydney since late last year.
In 2020, Mr Nazlioglu was found not guilty in the NSW Supreme Court of murdering Comanchero boss Mick Hawi who was shot in the car park of Fitness First in Rockdale in February 2018.
