William Gallas says Arsenal will lose key competition at left-back if Kieran Tierney is allowed to join Newcastle United in the summer.
Tierney has been heavily linked with a move to St James' Park after falling behind Oleksandr Zinchenko in the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.
The Scotland international has not started a Premier League game since the turn of the year, and Newcastle are reportedly plotting a move in the region of £30 million.

Gallas is concerned that Arsenal will harm the competition in the squad which is required to be successful in the Premier League, if Tierney departs at the end of the season.
"You always need two quality players in every position if you want to be successful in the Premier League," former Arsenal captain Gallas revealed in an interview with Genting Casino.
"If Tierney goes to Newcastle, then they won’t have that competition. You have to find the best solution for all of the parties because I’m sure Tierney wants to play more regularly.
"Arsenal need to have good, young players who are waiting to come through and prove their quality."
