Forensic police spotted in Stirling street as probe continues into incident that left teen injured

A Stirling street remained closed off yesterday (Tuesday) days after a teenager was injured and rushed to hospital.

Police are carrying out enquiries after a 17-year-old was hurt at a property in Douglas Street.

The incident took place on Thursday evening last week, with officers still on the scene yesterday.

Police vehicles were situated at the top of Douglas Street, which was still cordoned off at its junction with Cowane Street.

Forensic officers in white overalls have also been spotted at the scene.

An appeal for information has been launched as Police Scotland confirmed enquiries were at an early stage.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called around 8.05pm on Thursday, 6 April, to a report of a male youth being injured at a property in Douglas Street, Stirling.

“The 17-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Our investigation to establish the full circumstances are at an early stage and officers are carrying out enquiries in the area.

“Anyone with information that could assist with our enquiries should call 101, quoting incident number 3688 of Thursday, 6 April, 2023, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
