Ford Sierra Cosworth driver caught speeding at 104mph in 30mph street handed police notice

A driver has been handed a police notice after a Ford Sierra Cosworth was caught on camera speeding at more than 100mph on a Rochdale street.

The car was reportedly clocked speeding at 104mph on Albert Royds Street on Sunday afternoon. The legal limit on the road is 30mph.

Police said traffic officers 'believe this is one of the highest speeds recorded for a Ford Sierra Cosworth'. The suspected driver of the vintage sports car has now been handed a Notice of Intended Prosecution.
