A footie fan who fell out of love with the beautiful game spent six years learning how to get a kick out of it again with an “around the world in 80 games” challenge.
Liverpool supporter Steve McCluskie, 53, felt a “disconnection” from the sport due to its commercialisation. So he took things back to jumpers for goal posts and kickabouts with strangers from all backgrounds.
Steve covered 97,000 miles and visited 35 countries, just turning up with four jumpers and a ball, setting up and getting people to join in.
