A Zambian footballer has been tragically mauled to death over the weekend by his three dogs in South Africa.
Philemon Mulala, 60 was discovered dead by his wife in his garden at his home in Lichtenburg after his two Staffordshire bull terrier/Pitbull crosses and his other dog of an unknown breed attacked him.
His devastated partner immediately contacted the emergency services who rushed to the scene on Saturday but the football star was sadly pronounced dead in his garden, the Mirror reports. According to a police press release, his wife had heard their dogs barking from the other side of their home but had not thought anything of it because they are 'frequently barking at pedestrians and vehicles passing by'.
