"It's not about the football," says Carl Eaton founder of the Skem Men-Aces. "It's about the lads believing in themselves".
The Men-Aces disabled football team run by Carl and his wife Miriam affectionately known as the "real gaffer" was created in 2009 and started with "five people and jumpers for goals". The club was set up after Carl's brother, who has learning difficulties wanted to play for a team of his own.
Now over forty strong the Men-Aces defines itself not by winning on the pitch but by what it teaches the players off it and Miriam said "football is the tool we use to make people tick".
