A number of food products are being recalled by major UK supermarkets. Items need to be returned for a variety of reasons - ranging from the risk of salmonella poisoning to the presence of allergy-triggering ingredients.
A series of alerts have been issued by the Food Standards Agency. Products including chocolate, cheese and ready meals sold at Asda, Lidl and Sainsbury's are affected.
Customers who have bought one of the items should check the product's pack size, lot number and best before date to see if it matches those given in the warnings. If they do, items can be returned to the relevant store for a full refund, The Mirror reports.
