Floyd Mayweather's bodyguard to fight Japanese kickboxer on legend's undercard

Floyd Mayweather's bodyguard will fight on the undercard of the boxing legend's latest exhibition bout.

Mayweather will take to the ring in his fourth exhibition outing when he touches gloves with Japanese MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura. on September 24 at the Saitama Arena in Japan. It will be his latest boxing showcase since facing Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, Logan Paul and, most recently, former sparring partner Don Moore.

During a recent press conference, tensions rose between Mayweather and his upcoming rival Asakura, which saw the boxing legend's long-term bodyguard Jizzy Mack shove the Japanese star to prevent him from advancing and causing a ruckus. Now, an announcement from promoter Rizin has confirmed 'Jizzy - real name Ray Sadeghi - will take on Japanese kickboxer Kouzi in a bout which will precede the main event.

The fight will take place as an open weight bout with the kickboxer scaling 135lb in comparison to Sadeghi who tips the scales at around 200lb. A potential appearance for Sadeghi came about after he branded Japanese fighters "weak and disrespectful" following his altercation with Asakura during the face-off.

The celebrity bodyguard elected to issue a fight call-out to anyone who wished to face him on the card later this month, which has seen kickboxer Kouzi - real name Koji Tanaka - step up to the plate. He is currently ranked as the seventh leading bantamweight contender in the fighting promotion, and is a veteran both with Rizin and rival promotion K-1.

Sadeghi is also known for his experience as a bodybuilder, and the Iranian native will become the second fighting bodybuilder from the country to step in the ring. This comes just weeks after social media star Iranian Hulk - real name Sajad Gharibi - was embarrassingly defeated by his rival Kazakh Titan on his boxing debut, after his original opponent Martyn Ford elected to pull out over fears for his opponent's safety.

Despite his bodyguard's appearance, Mayweather will be the centre of attention once again in Japan and will likely generate a huge wealth from the event. He believes he has what it takes to put on another boxing clinic and has fired a stark warning at his rival.

“Until you make money like I do stop talking," he said while firing shots at his opponent Asakura via a translator. "Stop wearing dorky clothes and start wearing the TMT clothes which are much cooler than yours. I know it’s just an exhibition match but with a single punch I can guarantee you that his stomach is going to swell up like an eggplant. [Our punches] are as different as a jet plane and a fly, so I look forward to having a match against him."
