A Florida man was arrested for allegedly stabbing and robbing an Amazon delivery driver as the victim was actively making deliveries last week.

33-year-old Curtis Gardner allegedly biked over to the Amazon driver after his truck sustained a flat tire on Dec. 7. The truck stopped outside of a vacant lot in the 1100 block of NW 10th Terrace, reported CBS News.

Gardner then went up to the driver, pulled out a knife and stabbed him, according to Fort Lauderdale police. He also allegedly robbed him.

The driver was taken to Broward Health Medical Center by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue. He sustained serious injuries but law enforcement stated that he is expected to recover.

Police have also stated that there is no evidence that the flat tire was intentionally inflicted.

The investigation is actively ongoing.
