Another day, another group of Ohio State Football players getting selected on a preseason All-American team.
This time it’s Pro Football Focus, who not only picked five Buckeyes to have those honors, but also had two more as honorable mention. You can probably guess at least one who is on the first team. Hint, he wears No. 18 and has been all over numerous other All-American lists. He also has an NFL Hall of Fame father to thank for passing some pretty impressive genes along.
The others aren’t quite as obvious, but it is a bunch of familiar names nevertheless. Find out below which five Buckeyes made either the first, second, or third team, along with the two that made honorable mention according to PFF.

The top receiver prospect in the country will have blanket coverage on him all year. That shouldn’t matter much as Harrison Jr. is an elite talent.
First-team, Wide Receiver Emeka Egbuka

Even though head coach Ryan Day has yet to choose a starter at quarterback, it seems like Egbuka and his partner Harrison Jr. are still going to put up huge numbers.
Second-team, Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg

The Buckeyes leading tackler returns for another go, with another year under Jim Knowles’ defense. Eichenberg could top his numbers from last year which means over 120 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
Third-team, Offensive Guard Donovan Jackson
How about former Bellaire (TX) Episcopal 5⭐️ and Ohio State guard Donovan Jackson

The unquestioned veteran on the Ohio State offensive line, Jackson enters his second season as a starter. Guards aren’t often national names, but this Buckeye could be one of them.
Third-team, Defensive End J.T. Tuimoloau
💥 6 Tackles
💥 2.0 Sacks
💥 1 Forced Fumble
💥 2 Fumble Recoveries
💥 2 Interceptions (1 TD)Throwback to J.T. Tuimoloau’s DOMINANT performance against PSU last season

Many expect Tuimoloau to continue his progress from last season. If he can consistently have dominant games, he very well could push his way onto the first or Second-team instead of just being on the third.
Honorable mention, Running Back TreVeyon Henderson

If Henderson can stay healthy, he’s one of the best running backs in the country. Last year he battled through injuries, but if he can regain his freshman form which saw him rush for 1,248 yards and scored 15 touchdowns, including some damage in with receptions, look out.
Honorable Mention, Punter Jesse Mirco

— FOX College Football (@CFBONFOX) September 18, 2022
What’s in Store
Former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel would be proud, Mirco averaged 45.4 yards per punt on 49 attempts last year. He has gotten better each year and this season could be his best for the junior from Australia.
