Fortnite seems to be teasing a collaboration with Five Nights at Freddy’s, the iconic indie horror series, in the lead up to Halloween this year.
FNAF has been one of the more highly requested franchises for Fortnite, which has become iconic over the years for collecting just about every possible collab imaginable. In fact, this teaser comes just days after a huge list of video game collabs were confirmed for Chapter 7 Season 4 Override, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, and Pac-Man.
A Pizzeria spotted on the map
Fortnite hasn’t revealed any official teasers yet, but observant fans have spotted a very familiar building currently on the map. The building, which is currently under construction with unfinished walls and heavy machinery scattered around it, has the very distinctive shape of one Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.

Other details, like the green roof and yellow exterior walls, match exactly with the live-action version of the pizzeria. Inside, fans have reported seeing a stage, a kitchen (with pizza boxes), and what seems to be a parts and service room – most notably seen in the iconic Game Over screen from FNAF 1.
Since this building is from the movie series rather than the game, it’s possible that any possible collab would lean more into the live action characters than those from the game series.
Scott Cawthon teases a collab
Following the rumors of a FNAF collab with Fortnite, FNAF developer Scott Cawthon himself posted a teaser featuring the series logo next to a set of question marks.

Given this direct teaser from Scott himself, it seems highly likely that official confirmation about a FNAF x Fortnite collab will come very soon. Now, fans can start to speculate on what will be included in any potential crossover between the two games.
Is a FNAF collaboration a real possibility?
In the past, any possibility of a collaboration between FNAF and Fortnite has been regularly shot down. Scott Cawthon, the creator of FNAF, has traditionally expressed a protectiveness over the series that’s prevented any real discussion. However, things have been changing in recent years.
In an interview with Dawko in 2024, Scott Cawthon addressed his feelings regarding collaborations with other games, stating:
“I’m very careful with collaborations because I want to protect the brand and I want to make sure that Five Nights at Freddy’s stays as Five Nights at Freddy’s and there are some games where even if I really enjoy the game, it just doesn’t feel like a good match. It feels like a mismatch. “
“The brand integrity is the most important thing for me in keeping everything feeling like it belongs. So that’s really been my only hesitancy. I feel like I am branching out a little bit and I am a little bit more open to those things than maybe I was in the early years, but I’m still very careful about it. We’ll see how things go.”
Since then, Five Nights at Freddy’s as a franchise has gone on to do things fans thought would never happen, like the series collaborating with Dead by Daylight – bringing Springtrap as a Killer to that game – and the announcement of a real life Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria to open next year in New Jersey.
These recent developments show that, despite past statements, Five Nights at Freddy’s has been far more open to collaborations recently, making a Fortnite collab a real possibility.
That said, it’s equally possible that the building spotted on the map is simply a reference to FNAF as the Fortnite gears up to celebrate the Halloween season (which includes its inclusion to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios this year). Only time will tell if Freddy Fazbear and his band will join other video game icons in the Battle Bus.
