The Bridgerton effect is gripping househunters, as new data shows stately homes topped the list of most-viewed Rightmove properties in May.
The online estate agents said its top five properties for May were dominated by mansions, as Brits dreamed of what home they could buy if money was no object.
Many of the homes look like they could be straight from the sets of hit TV shows Bridgerton or Downton Abbey.
Rightmove property expert Tim Bannister said: “Just like Britain’s biggest EuroMillions winners who went straight to Rightmove to see where they could move to, this month people across Great Britain have been browsing a selection of dream homes they might go for if they won the lottery.
"From a mansion with complete privacy in Denbighshire, Wales to a period home that looks straight off a TV set in Derbyshire, this month’s most viewed homes will have you imagining what life might be like in some of the most premium properties on the market.”
Here are Rightmove's top five homes from May 2022.
1) Hampton Hall - £29million
This magnificent, brand new crown estate in Oxshott, Surrey, is on the market for a cool £29million .
The design of Hampton Hall is influenced by the grand designs of 16th century English mansions, but it is a new build property with more than 70 rooms.
