Heading in to this off-season Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch is under no illusions that there's plenty of work to be done to avoid another relegation battle next season. The Whites secured their spot in the top flight on the final day of the season in dramatic fashion, with Jack Harrison scoring in the 94th minute to bring a cheerful end to an otherwise miserable season.
But now, Leeds will start afresh under a new manager, a new regime and hopefully, a lot of new faces. However, some players currently on the team, also have huge points to prove.
Each player is, obviously, at a different stage in their career. Some are still young and have time to learn from their mistakes whilst growing into the players they hope to become, whilst others are coming towards the end, and want to show that they still have enough to be impact players.

Here are five players who you have a 'make or break' season in 2022/23.
Diego Llorente
Much was expected from Spanish international Diego Llorente when he joined in 2020 from Real Sociedad. And whilst he's made his way into the most recent Spain squad, it's fair to say that he has largely struggled since his signing, and would like to have performed better than what we've seen of him so far.
He's had moments, and stretches of decent play, but he's also made the fourth most errors leading to goals (19) according to Opta.
If Llorente flatters to deceive once again this season, it would be a surprise to see him remain in West Yorkshire.
Charlie Cresswell
Charlie Cresswell was a name on Liverpool and Manchester United's radar just six months ago, with Leeds United hoping to tie him down to avoid losing their talented teenage centre-back. But under Jesse Marsch, Cresswell found playing time difficult to come by.
Heading into this season, Cresswell has revealed that he does plan to discuss his contract with Marsch and Director Victor Orta, whilst admitting that could include him leaving on loan in order to play regular first-team football next season.
At this point in his career, he needs it. But if he is to remain at the club, and still not get first-team minutes - he could move on.
Junior Firpo
On paper, Junior Firpo fits exactly the role of a left-back that Jesse Marsch would want. He's shown in the past that he's capable defensively and offers something going forward. But he did just not show that in his first year.
The Spaniard has largely struggled, and was criticised for his defensive abilities, whilst not offering much offensively. Leeds will hope for a bounce back season from Firpo under Marsch, but it wouldn't be a shock to see him move on if they identify another left-back.
Tyler Roberts
Now aged 23, Tyler Roberts doesn't seem to be in the long-term plan for Leeds United and is being linked to a host of Championship clubs. Roberts has had good spells at Leeds, but has really failed to nail down a starting spot - scoring just nine league goals in 101.
Although he signed a long-term contract this summer, Roberts must blossom this season - in need of a breakout campaign - or it may be time for him to take a move to look to revive himself. Leeds have reportedly been looking to upgrade at their striking options.
Daniel James
Leeds United came so close to signing Dan James when he joined United in 2019 after being at Elland Road. But no deal materialised after not going through before the deadline. Two years later, though, he would join from Manchester United for a lofty £26 million.
Whilst his first season could have gone better, scoring only four goals, James' pace on the flanks makes Leeds a constant threat on the counter, whilst always offering them an outlet.
Still just 24 years old, James has much time ahead of him to improve and justify the price tag, but he must improve this season are fans will really start to question the signing.
