First Ukrainian drone factory to open in UK

The first Ukrainian drone production factory has commenced operations in Suffolk, marking a significant boost for Britain's defence industry.
Ukrainian firm Ukrspecsystems has invested £200m into sites in Mildenhall and Elmsett, expecting to create up to 500 British jobs.
Luke Pollard, Minister for Defence Readiness and Industry, stated the investment demonstrates confidence in UK support and deepens defence cooperation between the two nations.
Valerit Zaluzhnyi, the Ukrainian ambassador to Britain, highlighted the strategic logic of the UK plant, ensuring continuity of production while engineering expertise remains in Ukraine.
The move is seen as a "clear demonstration" of the 100 Year Partnership between the UK and Ukraine, with Ukrspecsystems' drones having caused substantial damage to Russia's war efforts.
