The doors haven't closed on Ramsay Street just yet.
Kylie Minogue has turned back time and transformed into her iconic Neighbours character, Charlene Mitchell, in first-look photos from the show’s forthcoming finale.
She and Jason Donovan have reprised their roles as Charlene and Scott Robinson for the show's final episode.
Minogue shared new photos of the anticipated return with her combined 4.6 million followers on Instagram and Twitter.
"Now we're back together" references a lyric from their 1988 hit duet, Especially For You.
Pictures from the set show Minogue and Donovan laughing and embracing, with Minogue wearing denim overalls — a wardrobe staple beloved by her character.
Donovan also took to his Twitter account to share the same images, including a photo of the street sign for Ramsay Street signed by him and his co-star.
He also included a snap of the cover of his script. He wrote: “So good to be back with this absolute legend @kylieminogue."
Their posts were met with a flood of positivity by nostalgic fans who regularly tuned in to the show.
"OK, I admit it. Seeing these as a I doom-scrolled lifted my heart much more than I expected. My childhood 🙌," producer of BBC Songs of Praise David Waters wrote in a tweet.
BBC journalist Kalpana Boodhoo replied to Donovan's tweet: "The joy on every 80s child's face today will be through the roof, regardless of if you're a Neighbours fan today or not!"
The iconic television show has helped launch the careers of generations of Australian entertainers, from Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce to Margot Robbie and Liam Hemsworth.
Minogue and Donovan were household names from the show. They each went on to launch music careers in the UK.
The program first aired in 1985 and followed the lives of those living and working in the fictional Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough.
It was cancelled earlier this year after Britain's Channel 5 announced it would be dropping the Australian soap from its line-up.
Cast members, including Guy Pearce, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Alan Fletcher and more paid tribute to the long-running series on social media last month, sharing their moments from their last days on set.
Neighbours will officially end with a 90-minute special to be simultaneously aired on Channels 10 and 10 Peach from 7:30pm on July 28.
