The man who died after an explosion at a recycling centre in Perth has been named by police as Slawomir Szmeichel.
Emergency crews raced to the incident following the huge explosion at the Shore recycling centre on Friarton Road at 12.45am on Tuesday, February 28. Medics attended and sadly found the body of 45-year-old Slawomir Szmeichel at the scene.
Another man, aged 41, was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where he has since been discharged. Slawomir's devastated family have since paid tribute to their 'loved husband, dad, brother and son' following the tragedy.
