First look at Robert Downey Jr’s Marvel return as Doctor Doom

  • Robert Downey Jr. is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the new supervillain Doctor Doom in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday .
  • This marks Downey Jr.'s first appearance in the MCU since his character Tony Stark 's death in Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
  • Marvel's former visual department director, Andy Park, shared the first look at Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom mask in concept art for the film.
  • Avengers: Doomsday will unite characters from across Marvel's many universes, including Thor, the X-Men, Ant-Man, and Yelena Belova.
  • The film, which is the first half of a two-part Avengers finale, is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 18 December.
