Fire crews have been tackling a huge wildfire that broke out in a wooded area of Northumberland.
It is understood that flames started burning at around 7pm on Friday evening in Fourlaws, a woodland adjacent to Sweethope Loughs.
Firefighters have been tackling the blaze throughout the weekend. Thick smoke can be seen billowing into the sky which can be seen for miles. On Friday, Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service confirmed six appliances were at the scene tackling the ferocious flames using water from the loughs.

Mountain Rescue volunteers are also at the scene with police closing the U5010 from Knowesgate to A68 junctions. The road has since reopened.
The fire service confirmed on Sunday that only one crew remained in the area and were assessing the situation. Firefighters had left the area on Sunday after dampening 'hotspots' however it is understood they have travelled back to area after receiving another call.
It is not yet known the cause of the fire.
A Northumberland Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "We currently have six fire appliances at Fourlaws Forest near Sweethope Loughs dealing with ongoing fires in the area.
"We have re-established the water supply up to the scene of the fire, which is affecting approximately 180,000sqm of standing trees and moorland.
"The public are asked to stay clear of the area.
"This is a reminder for members of the public to act responsibly when out and about enjoying our beautiful county. The current weather conditions make the risk of wildfire very high so please do take extra care."
The land is run by Forestry England and ChronicleLive have contacted them for further comment.
