Fine Gael councillor blasts plans for Ukrainian refugee centre as 'not in keeping' with his town

A Limerick county councillor has raged against plans to house 22 Ukrainian refugees in an old bank premises.

The former Bank of Ireland premises at Askeaton in West Limerick has been bought by council, and now will be used to house those fleeing war for two years.

Following this, it will become a community enterprise building.
