A new World Cup promo will be released in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team later today as part of the Black Friday event in FUT 23.
It was confirmed by a FIFA 23 Ultimate Team loading screen earlier this week that the Black Friday event would begin on Friday, November 25 at 6pm GMT, with a new promo also being teased in the loading screen. That has now been confirmed as the Road to the World Cup (RTTWC) promo, whilst World Cup Icons are also set to be released alongside the RTTWC promo.
We know little about the upcoming Road to the World Cup promo apart from the official card design and the confirmed release date. But, like every promo in FIFA 23, some players set to be involved have reportedly been 'leaked' on social media ahead of the reveal later tonight.
The Black Friday event that features the Road to the World Cup promo will be released into FIFA 23 Ultimate Team at 6pm GMT on Friday, November 25. Here's a round-up of all the latest RTTWC leaks and the expected content.
FIFA 23 Road to the World Cup promo leaks
According to notorious leaker @FutSheriff, some big players are expected to be released as part of the upcoming Road to the World Cup promo, including Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe. We know little to no details about how the promo will work, with some social media users suggesting it may work like the Road to the Knockout promo, with each player in the promo receiving an upgrade based on if their team progresses out of the Group Stages.
The players listed are not confirmed yet by EA Sports, but based on @FutSheriff's track record, there's a high chance these players will be involved.
- Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain)
- Sadio Mane (Bayern Munich)
- Heung-Min Son (Tottenham Hotspur)
- Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain)
As well as the Road to the Knockout promo, the Black Friday promo is set to see a selection of World Cup Icons released - a special, boosted version of Icons, celebrating their greatest World Cup moment. A 'Best Of' TOTW squad was released on Thursday, November 24 including the best TOTW players from TOTW 1-9, and lighting round Packs, SBCs and more are also expected during the event.
We are unsure whether the Road to the World Cup will last one or two weeks, but we will update this article with more information when we know.
FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and is now available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One.
