With the worldwide release of FIFA 23 happening this month, the anticipation around new player ratings is building.
Player ratings are one of the most exciting announcements in the build-up to a new EA Sports FIFA title, with fans excited to find out the ratings of their favourite players. And, after another fantastic year of football, there could be some big changes to the top-rated players in FIFA 23, with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo set to miss out on top spot.
FIFA 23 will be released worldwide on Friday, September 30, 2022. The ratings announced at release will be the permanent ratings in the Ultimate Game mode, whilst a player's rating can either increase or decrease throughout the year based on their real-life performances in offline modes.

Mirror Football predicts that Kylian Mbappe will become the highest rated player on an EA Sports FIFA title for the very first time, with Robert Lewandowski, Karim Benzema, Lionel Messi and Kevin De Bruyne all sharing second place. Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo could both be downgraded, with the latter potentially decreasing to 90.
FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins on September 27, 2022.
