FIFA 23 is out now on all platforms, with the FUT 23 Ones to Watch (OTW) promo launching this evening.
FIFA 23 launches worldwide today on PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PC and more, although players who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, or are EA Play subscribers, have been able to get early access to the full game since Tuesday.
In addition to three days of early access, players who pre-ordered the FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition are entitled to a variety of bonus content including 4600 FIFA Points, Dual Entitlement, an untradeable FIFA World Cup Hero item and an untradeable Ones to Watch (OTW) item. EA Sports has already confirmed that the OTW promo will launch in FUT 23 on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 18:00 BST.
EA Sports has also confirmed, via the pre-order offer terms and conditions on their website, that players who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition will receive their untradeable FIFA 23 Ones to Watch pack on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 18:00 BST (17:00 GMT), as soon as the OTW promo officially launches in FUT 23.
However, as of 18:15 BST on Friday, FIFA 23 players are yet to receive their untradeable OTW pre-order bonus pack. It seems to be an error on EA Sports' part. UPDATE: As of 19:00 BST on Friday, September 30, players should be able to see their untradeable FIFA 23 Ones to Watch pack in the FUT 23 Store.
The untradeable FIFA 23 Ones to Watch pack will contain one untradeable Ones to Watch Player item. If you open the pack between September 30 and October 2, you'll receive an OTW Team 1 player. However, if you open your pack after this date, you will receive either a Team 1 player or a mini-release player, with the mini-release set to happen on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
The Ones to Watch promo is the first major promo released into FUT following the launch of the new game. The promo rewards newly-transferred players with a special player item that can update throughout FUT based on real-life performances.
EA Sports confirmed previously that in FIFA 23, the Ones to Watch promo will be shortened from two weeks to one in order to accommodate the FIFA 23 World Cup plans. This means that on Friday, September 30th, 2022 the OTW Main Team will be released, and from Sunday, October 2, 2022, a mini release will join the main team.
OTW items receive a boost to their card every time that player is included in a FIFA 23 Team of the Week (TOTW) squad, or when they receive a MOTM player item. EA has also updated the "Wins to Watch" requirements, with OTW players needing their team to win three of their next eight domestic league games to earn a one-time upgrade, starting from Friday, September 30.
OTW player items can also upgrade during the 2022 FIFA World Cup through the new upgrade opportunity, "Nations to Watch". Ones to Watch items will be eligible for a one-off In-Form upgrade if their nation wins a game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, regardless if the player was involved or was even picked for the squad.
FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins on September 27, 2022.
