FIFA 23 FUT Web App down just hours after launch as EA release statement

The FUT Web App is down for FIFA 23 players, less than one day after going live to the public.

The FIFA 23 FUT Web App was released on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, going live at around 18:45 BST. The FUT 23 Web App allows players to access limited FIFA Ultimate Team features for the first time ahead of the game's full release.

Players who enter the FUT 23 Web App will be granted access to the FIFA 23 transfer market to buy and sell players and consumables, buy packs, manage their FUT 23 squad, complete squad building challenges and much more. But, at around 09:00 BST on Thursday, September 22, 2022, the Web App crashed, not allowing players to access the website.

When players attempt to access the Web App, the following message appears. 'It looks like your EA Account doesn't have a FUT 23 Club. Before we keep going, make sure you're logged in with the right account. In order to use the FIFA 23 Companion App or Web App, you will need to create a FUT 23 Club on your console or PC.'

Since then, EA Sports have released an update on their official Twitter page, stating they are investigating the issue. "We're aware of an issue preventing some players connecting to the Web App, and we’re investigating," said EA.

The Web App not being available to FUT players less than one day after its release has caused frustration in the FIFA community, with players looking to kick start their Ultimate Team journey ahead of the game's full release. We will update this article with any new updates or information in due course.

UPDATE (September 22 at 11:30 BST): The FIFA 23 FUT Web App is now live once again.

FIFA 23 will be released on Friday, September 30, 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One. Players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 or are subscribed to EA Play will be given early access to the game, allowing players access to the game on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins on September 27, 2022.
