Farm simmers already know what day it is: It's Fields of Mistria 1.0 day. The magical girl-inspired, '90s anime flashback farm sim has been in early access for two years (to the day) and has just launched its full release version with the conclusion of its main story and, way more importantly, matrimony.
To the dismay of some of my fellow PCG editors and the delight of others, I've been totally incapable of shutting up about Mistria. Farm sims are nominally about planting crops and making cash but what keeps me and all the other life simming freaks coming back is always going to be great artwork and crushable characters. Mistria is drowning in both with its Game Boy Advance-inspired colorful sprites and characters who clawed their way out of my old Shojo Beat mags.
