Manchester United face top-four rivals Tottenham on Thursday evening but they could do so without Bruno Fernandes.
The Reds can further cement their place in the top four with three points but face a Spurs side still reeling from their 6-1 humiliation at Newcastle and no doubt keen to prove a point.
Erik ten Hag was left sweating on the fitness of Fernandes after he suffered an ankle injury in the FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton. Concerns over the midfielder's long-term absence grew after pictures surfaced of him wearing a protective boot.

The Portugal international is the only major injury concern that has come fresh from that trip to Wembley, but there are still plenty of Reds in the treatment room ahead of Thursday's clash.
Bruno Fernandes
Fernandes suffered an ankle injury in the FA Cup semi-final against Brighton and was pictured in a protective boot at the start of the week, intensifying concerns over his long-term availability.
Possible return date: April 30 (vs Aston Villa)
What Ten Hag has said: "We have to see how Bruno Fernandes is, we don't know yet. Is a question mark."
Scott McTominay
McTominay has missed the last four games through injury, including Sunday's FA Cup clash. No update has been given on his progress but his setback is not thought to be long-term.
Possible return date: April 27 (vs Tottenham)
Raphael Varane
Varane was forced off in the 2-2 draw with Sevilla, with initial announcements suggesting the Frenchman would be out for 'a few weeks'. Earlier this week, Ten Hag admitted he hopes to have his defender back for the FA Cup final.
Possible return date: June 3 (vs Manchester City)
What Ten Hag has said: "I think so, yes. Varane, for the cup final, he can return."
Alejandro Garnacho
The winger is still sidelined with an ankle injury picked up in last month’s goalless draw with Southampton. Garnacho posted a picture of him back in football boots recently and the Argentinian youngster is expected to be back before the end of the season.
Possible return date: April 30 (vs Aston Villa).
What Ten Hag has said: "Garnacho is back on the pitch but he's not ready for the game tomorrow [Thursday]."
Tom Heaton
The goalkeeper was due to return from his foot injury in mid-April but he was not named on the bench against Brighton on Sunday. He could make the squad for one of this week's league games, however.
Possible return date: April 27 (vs Tottenham).
Lisandro Martinez
The Argentina international is out for the rest of the season after sustaining a metatarsal injury in the first-leg draw with Sevilla. His subsequent operation was a success but he has already stepped on a pitch for the last time this campaign.
Return date: July
Donny van de Beek
The Dutchman’s knee injury also means his season is over. He underwent surgery himself earlier this year but has had to remain on the sidelines since.
Return date: July
