Bruno Guimaraes says he feels like the mayor of Newcastle when out and about in the city. The Brazilian has been one of the standout performers since making the big money move to Tyneside in January and is loving life as a Geordie.
The 24-year-old welcomed his firstborn son into the world recently, claiming he's now a Geordie Brazilian which has gone down well with supporters. He then went on to play 89 minutes against Spurs despite missing two nights' sleep.
Eddie Howe said he was unaware of the lack of sleep but was full of praise for Guimaraes in what was an impressive display. The win over Antonio Conte's side saw Newcastle continue their impressive start to the campaign and it got even better when brushing aside Aston Villa 4-0 last weekend, but Bruno admits there's a long way to go and this is just the start.
