The charges, brought by Special Counsel David Weiss, accuse Hunter Biden of engaging in a four-year scheme to evade paying $1.4 million in taxes.
In response to the judge's ruling, Hunter Biden's legal team has vowed to continue fighting against what they perceive as an 'abnormal way' in which the investigation and charges have been handled. They argued that federal prosecutors succumbed to political pressure from Republicans and claimed that Hunter Biden had immunity under a previous plea deal that ultimately collapsed.
